No you don't need a VPN to run StreamX tv boxes. But the box works with any quality VPNs if you insist.

First, insert two AAA batteries into the remote control and turn on the StreamX X1 Pro  Keep the remote and TV box within 10 inches of each other and press the Voice button on the remote.  Then, press the [OK] and [Return] buttons together until the indicator light flashes for pairing. Press the [OK] button until the red light stops blinking.  Finally, go to [Setting]-[Bluetooth] to check if the device is connected. Look for the “RC-100” device to confirm the pairing.  If the Bluetooth function or voice command function has some issues, you can re-connect it and pair it again to try it out.  Furthermore, you can explore some commands for Google Assistant to find the app you want or discover content you like

To open Google Assistant on StreamX X1 Pro: First, connect the remote control to StreamX X1 Pro. Next, hold down the button with the microphone icon and say "Google Assistant" You will see three options:

1. First option: Log in with your Google account. If you have a Google account, you can log in.
2. Second option: Continue without using a Google account. If you don't have a Google account or don't want to log in, choose the second option.
3. Third option: Skip.

Finally, to ensure you have successfully connected Google Assistant, hold down the button with the microphone icon and say "Google Assistant" again. If you hear Google Assistant talking to you, congratulations, you have successfully opened and used the virtual assistant on StreamX X1 Pro. If you still see the screen with the three options above, you need to choose the second option or the third option to experience Google Assistant as quickly as possible.

With voice search, you can easily find specific movies and TV shows, or your favorite actors and directors. You can also search by genre to browse a broader set of results. Issuing a voice command like those described below delivers you to a list of search results where selecting a title lets you see available viewing options across top channels.
